She Gazed Ablaze

Not alone, but
secluded — solitary
she gazed ablaze
’til idle stars burned
wakeful. Amazed
they sidled up
beside her, bearing
gifts of carbon.

This rock — her body
unbridled lonely night —
all her dreams were us
fused one to another
in her field
freely grazing life.

Joy is found in seeking joy — Laurie Perez — Novelist

What restores my faith in humanity?

You do.

A moment ago, you chose to explore this question and here you are. I’m inspired by that choice.

Your presence matters. The willingness to believe we can create something of value as a collective, sharing space and interweaving timeliness on a planet we call home — this is your gift.
