roots descend before
the tree can
rise — so does love
come down first
to the ground
where
etheric Souls
are born to give it form

Yesterday in Do You Believe in Reincarnation, I suggested that it doesn’t matter what you believe about the afterlife. Some might be quick to conclude that’s a cynical statement. For me, it’s liberating.

Beliefs are personal, even when they’re held collectively. Each individual experiences belief uniquely, regardless of how emphatically they agree with a fundamental, common assumption about how life and the Universe are constructed.

A scientist would say they work carefully to examine constructs through data — crunchy, chewy, sweaty…
