desert skies at sunrise,
dooming lunacy itself
to ineluctable departure
The ability to look up while being pulled down by despair, defeat or discouraging confusion — the willingness to be momentarily distracted by something joyfully compelling, holistically undemanding, beautiful — this is one of humanity’s most undervalued skills of survival.
